General Motors has decided to stop production and update the nine-generation Chevrolet Malibu, and is expected to stop production between 2022 and 2025, and will continue to update the Malibu in recent years.

GM officially stated that GM will update the exterior kit for the 2021 Malibu. The manufacturer provides buyers with two options: the Sport Edition package and the GM Malibu package.

The Sport Edition package is equipped with a black bow tie logo, Malibu badge, all-black grille and 19-inch paintable aluminum wheels.
The functions of this suit are similar to those provided in the Midnight Edition package, but the Sport Edition suit has more variants.

GM has not announced the specific price of the Sport Edition package, but it will not exceed the Midnight Edition’s $795.

GM will also provide a $995 Redline Edition Package, which includes a black bow tie badge, logo and grille. The rearview mirror, Malibu script, and bolts are all surrounded by red lines. Unlike the Sport Edition, the Redline Edition Package has 19-inch wheels in black. .

But consumers who choose the Redline Edition Package can only choose among three colors: mosaic black metallic, silver ice metallic and Summit White.

Malibu’s exit from the market was three years earlier than the target time set by Chevrolet to discontinue the model. Although Malibu’s sales have increased somewhat, they fell by more than 60% from the second quarter.
