There was a time when Hyundai didn’t think manual transmission cars were dead, but the truth is, manual transmission cars, at least in the United States, have been dead for a long time. As a result, the automaker announced it would abandon the 2021 Venue crossover.

Is it bad sales? No, no sales at all.

The developer had previously introduced an affordable crossover with a six-speed manual transmission and CVT. The developer was optimistic because there were fewer cars with manual transmission at the time.

Unfortunately, not a single customer chose a manual transmission. According to one report, in 2018 only 18 percent of American drivers knew how to operate a manual transmission. You can see from the report why this model has no sales.

But under the latest decision, the developer will still offer a manual transmission.
